Why Bishops?
Alliances Welcome
Talk, negotiate, and make deals to survive the short game.
Four Down to Two
Outwit opponents on 128 squares plus 4, then finish in a classic chess duel.
Human-only
All seats are human-controlled in the current build.
Quick Start
Open 4 tabs/windows; choose a name in each.
Connect seats: White, Grey, Black, Pink.
Decide who sits in each seat.
When White shows GO (flashing), start playing.
Notes:
1-Right now the Program treats the K/Q swap as a setup action, not a "real" move that advances the turn. So after you swap, the engine keeps the turn with that color and waits for a normal move before passing play to the next seat.
Press New Game (and Confirm) to reset anytime; duel resets all four.
Play Style
Watch the two players to your right; you may need to help them to avoid a loss on your left. Weaker players can team up to topple a stronger one. Alliances matter until only two remain - then it's pure chess.
